About Event

Join us for the 2-day technical hands on session, "Lifelong learning in the age of AI", hosted by the Sunbird Community. This event will take place on the 21st & 22nd of July 2023.

Why should you join the event?

  • The objective of this event is to equip participants with the necessary tools and knowledge to become  Sunbird Open-Source technology practitioners.

  • This unique forum will bring together a passionate community of developers, domain experts, and technology enthusiasts.

  • This event will provide a platform to share knowledge and learn about platforms and frameworks that empower lifelong learning.

  • Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in dedicated hands-on sessions focused on building Sunbird DPGs (Digital Public Goods).

This practitioner's session will fuel innovation and showcase compelling use cases leveraging Sunbird and the power of AI.

Sunbird has already empowered large-scale projects, including DIKSHA, the National School Education Digital Infra, which has reached over 180 million students and 7 million teachers through 62 billion minutes of learning sessions. Other notable Sunbird building block adoptions include LEX and Wingspan, the digital learning platforms of Infosys, Mission Karmayogi, a capacity-building platform for government employees, Bhashini, the platform for the National Language Translation Mission, and SUVAAS, which enables document translation for the Supreme Court of India and Amar Vasha for the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.

Sunbird is a set of highly scalable, interoperable and configurable building blocks that power population-scale use cases in multiple sectors. These building blocks, released under the MIT License and listed under the Digital Public Good Alliance (DPGA) registry, are autonomous, modular, and extendable with generic capabilities that can be used and enhanced by anyone.

Sunbird is an initiative spearheaded by the EkStep Foundation and backed by a diverse community of organisations and individuals. This community has already contributed 15 million lines of code and implemented 300+ APIs in 40 different technologies. These contributions have collectively amounted to over 500 thousand engineering hours.

Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity. Be a  part of the Sunbird Community.
