Lunch & Learn: Rahul Soans, Disruptive Business Network
Beyond the Job Title
A Practical Reflection on Finding Meaning in Work
In this informal Lunch & Learn, Rahul Soans - Disruptive Business Network will share a little of his personal journey through work, meaning, reinvention and the projects he is currently building. Drawing on his Finding Meaning in Work workshop, the session will explore how we can move beyond job titles, career plans and productivity goals to ask a more human question: what makes work feel meaningful?
Part story, part guided reflection, the session will include a short practical exercise to help participants notice where their work has felt most alive, useful or meaningful, and what that might reveal about what comes next.
Rahul Soans is the Entrepreneurial Programs Lead at RMIT Activator, where he designs and delivers programs that help founders, students and professionals turn ideas into meaningful ventures. He has over a decade of experience across startups, innovation, marketing, strategy, community building and education, including three years running his own company and leading developer marketing for IBM across Australia and New Zealand.
Alongside his work at RMIT, Rahul founded the Disruptive Business Network and created Finding Meaning in Work, a podcast and workshop exploring how people can build a more honest, purposeful and human relationship with their working lives.
