🤖 Welcome to the Inaugural ROBOHAX 2026 Robotics Hackathon SECTOR SIEGE!!
TL;DR
All robots must be fully built, coded, and competition-legal by October 23. No build time is permitted on competition day (October 24).
All participants must read and understand the SECTOR SIEGE Rule Book and the Robot Build Rules.

Introduction
Hosted by Worldwide Robotics Hub, ROBOHAX is Kitchener Waterloo Region's Robotics Hackathon.
Did we mentioned we are partnering with Lord Of Robots, a 100% Canadian Owned & Operated STEM education organization? 🍁😉
This isn't a single day kit-assembly event!
Your challenge, starting on September 16, is to design, prototype, build, and program a custom MiniBot to conquer the game tasks and specific prize category challenges.
Whether you're starting with our provided MiniBot Kit or bringing an existing competition-legal build, how your robot completes the game is entirely up to your engineering creativity.
Use 3D printing, laser cutting, hand fabrication, custom actuators, and your own software to build a winner!

A total prize pool valued up to $5,000.00 CAD across multiple competition and technical categories!
🗓 Timeline & Key Dates
September 16, 2026: Build phase kickoff
October 10, 2026: Deadline to form teams and register (You'd still have 2 weeks to build and code!)
October 24, 2026 (8:30 AM - 6:30 PM): Main Event Competition at SPUR Innovation Centre!
🎟 Registration & Hardware Requirements
To officially compete, you need to register your robot and get your gear.
Visit our tech partner, Lord of Robots, to purchase your hardware kit and register your robot.
IMPORTANT: Every single team member must hold their own individual Pit Pass to access the team areas and pits. You can purchase these at the link above. Spectator passes are also available for purchase if your friends and family want to join on October 24.

8:30 AM to 9:00 AM: Team arrival, check-in, pit setup, robot preparation.
8:30 AM to 9:45 AM: Pit and robot inspection by LOR Staff.
9:45 AM to 10:00 AM : Hackathon Opening Remarks & Housekeeping Rules. Doors open to spectators on the guest list with approved Spectator Passes.
10:00 AM to 10:15 AM: Team Captains meeting, rules review, safety briefing.
10:15 AM to 10:30 AM: Final robot inspections, field reset, queue first matches.
10:30 AM to 12:30 PM: Qualification Matches - Round 1.
12:30 PM to 1:00 PM: Break, pit work.
1:00 PM to 3:00 PM: Qualification Matches - Round 2.
3:00 PM to 3:15 PM: Alliance Selection & Playoff Briefing.
3:15 PM to 4:30 PM: Playoffs / Elimination Rounds.
4:30 PM to 5:00 PM: Finals / Tiebreakers
5:00 PM to 5:15 PM: Awards and Prize ceremony.
5:15 PM to 5:30 PM: Closing remarks & Sponsor Speeches.
5:30 PM to 6:00 PM: Robotics Exhibition, Networking and LoR Demos
6:30 PM: Event Ends, pits clean up.
