Speaker: Franziska Iseli

Franziska is a maverick entrepreneur, marketing and brand futurist, adventurer, author, and founder of Basic Bananas, Oceanlovers, Unspoken, and Moments of Humanity.

In 2013, Franziska was awarded Young Entrepreneur of the Year in recognition of her innovation, creativity, and philanthropic involvement. She currently serves as a board member of the global Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), where she advises on communication, marketing, and branding. She also launched the impact initiative EOcean, inspiring entrepreneurs to help protect the ocean.

Franziska sits on the judging panel for Singularity University and has led think tanks at the United Nations focused on addressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals through entrepreneurship.

A true visionary and eternal optimist, no challenge seems too big for Franziska. She is known for her rebellious nature and her ability to do things differently. Combining creativity with strategic thinking, she has become a powerful force in the business world.

A Swiss-born Australian — or “Swaussie” — Franziska is known for her sharp wit, playful humour, and ability to speak five languages. She’s also known for making up words, much to everyone’s amusement.

The key to Franziska’s success lies in her down-to-earth attitude, infectious energy, curiosity, and courage. She’s an idea-generation machine who loves solving complex challenges, often seeming to operate at double speed. A strong believer in social business, she is deeply involved in ocean conservation and sustainability projects.

Outside of work, Franziska enjoys spending time with family and friends, motorbike adventures, surfing, playing music, reading, and continuously learning new things. An avid adventure traveller, she has visited more than 100 countries.

One of her most memorable adventures saw her ride a motorbike from Switzerland to Kazakhstan along the Silk Road, including a stop at the Iranian border where she was denied entry. She has also led groups of business owners on rides through the Himalayas along the World’s Highest Ridable Road, as well as through Morocco, South Africa, and Lesotho.
