Midsummer Mischief with Devil Mask Studio
Devil Mask Studio and fwb invite you to a tangled twilight of revelry, rope, and temptation. Expect playful energy and plenty of opportunities to flirt, tie, lounge, spectate, or indulge. Whatever it is, there’s room for your kind of mischief here.
Rope, bondage, and a wide spectrum of play are welcome throughout the evening - bring your favorite toys, tools, and your curiosity! Newer to rope or play parties? Loaner rope (and friendly faces) will help you settle into the magic.
Dress for the midsummer woods: fae finery, sheer layers, velvet, vines, leather, lace, antlers, flowers, or whatever makes you feel like the finest creature at the feast.
🌶️ play is welcome, but never expected (or required). While we're up to no good, consent is still paramount. Everyone knows that fae always ask before touching and know their STI status (test results within the last 30 days required).
Rope is edge play. With that in mind, this is a sober event. If you arrive visibly intoxicated or under the influence, you will be turned away.

Schedule a 15-minute interview.
You must complete your interview before being approved for the event.

Once we approve your RSVP, your credit card will be charged. If you're not approved, we'll cancel your RSVP and remove your credit authorization.
Unapproved guests will be turned away at the door.

LOCATION & ACCESSIBILITY
This in-person event will be at the fwb Clubhouse in the Historic Core of DTLA.
The building is ADA accessible. There is an elevator. Note for people with wheelchairs, canes, or other walking assistance devices: the lobby floor tile is uneven, so be careful navigating, and the bathroom is not ADA-compliant.
This is a low-scent event: no perfume, cologne, or essential oils.
PARKING
There are paid lots, garages, and street parking within a block of the loft. The most convenient is the $20 lot directly across the street. Additional information will be included in your RSVP confirmation.
SAFETY IN DTLA
Please be mindful of your surroundings when arriving and leaving. Many of us are longtime downtown residents and have never personally had an issue walking around at night. Still, DTLA is full of interesting characters from all walks of life, especially on weekends. We love our community and ask that you be respectful of everyone you encounter.
ARRIVAL
Doors lock at 8:30 PM for the comfort and safety of our community. Please arrive early to ensure admission. Late and unapproved guests will be turned away at the door.
No shoes allowed in the loft. We recommend bringing a pair of grip socks or slippers. If you require an accessibility exemption, please email [email protected].
We provide coat check and space to store your belongings. Feel free to bring a coat, a change of clothes, and/or a toy bag. If it's your first event, please arrive early. We’ll give you a tour of the space, review the ground rules, and answer any questions.
PHONE POLICY
FWB has a strict no-phone policy for the privacy and presence of all our guests. Please ensure your phone is off or set to Do Not Disturb. When you arrive, you must check in your phone(s) with one of our hosts. We discourage checking phones during social time, but if you must check your phone before the doors lock, you may check it at the front desk and promptly return it to our staff. Once the doors have locked, no phones are allowed. If you need to check your phone, you will be asked to leave the event.
FOOD, DRINKS & OTHER DELIGHTS
What’s a revel without snacks?
We’ll nosh on decadent desserts and succulent morsels. Snacks, tea, and non-alcoholic beverages provided; you're welcome to bring your own food and drinks if you require specific sustenance. If you do not wish to share with other revelers, please clearly label your items with your name. Keep food and drinks in the kitchen area - only water is permitted in the play space.
COMMUNITY HEALTH & SAFETY
COVID, Cold, and Flu: We recommend all attendees test for COVID before you arrive. No need to send results - we trust you. If you are feeling sick, were recently exposed to someone who is sick, or are testing positive, we ask that you stay home to help us keep our community safe and healthy. We will credit you for a future event.
fwb provides face masks and hand sanitizer at the clubhouse. Air purifiers run during and between events. While we take all the precautions we can to be COVID safe, this is ultimately an event with a risk of infection. If you are at higher risk of infection or adverse effects from COVID or other illnesses, we encourage you to err on the side of caution.
STIs: We advocate for safer sex practices. We aim to foster a culture where people openly discuss sexual health and practice informed consent. Do not refer to negative STI results as “clean.” Don’t make jokes about STIs or people with them. Decide your risk tolerance when engaging in play and communicate your STI status and safer sex preferences with any potential partners. If someone discloses a positive STI result, do not shame or disparage them. We offer barriers of all kinds (dental dams, condoms, finger condoms, gloves) if your preference is to avoid any fluid exchange. We provide black wristbands to people who have shared negative STI results for HIV 1 & 2, syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea from the past 30 days. You can submit your test results via our encrypted form in advance or share them with our medical staff in person at the event to receive your wristband.
REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
We do not offer refunds if you cancel or change your reservation. In some cases, we do offer event credits. Contact [email protected] if you:
Need to cancel or change your reservation. Please let us know 48 hours before an event, and we will credit you for a future event.
If you are sick, have recently been exposed to someone who has COVID, or have tested positive. Let us know ~2 hours before an event starts, and we will credit you for a future event.
We offer refunds if we cancel an event for any reason. We'll send out a cancellation email. Attendees who wish to receive a refund for their ticket purchase must respond within 7 days of the cancelled event. All other tickets will receive a credit for a future event.
