Gifted Zoo ha sido diseñado principalmente para personas que se identifican con las Altas Capacidades intelectuales (incluyendo perfiles heterogéneos o doble excepcionalidad) o que reconocen en sí mismas una forma de pensar especialmente rápida, compleja, altamente asociativa y con una fuerte necesidad de profundidad intelectual y emocional. Aunque muchas personas de la comunidad también son autistas, TDAH o altamente sensibles, Gifted Zoo no está concebido como una comunidad general de neurodivergencia ni de alta sensibilidad. Nuestra experiencia es que las personas se sienten más vistas y comprendidas cuando comparten una experiencia cognitiva similar. Gifted Zoo was primarily designed for people who identify with intellectual giftedness, including those with spiky profiles, twice-exceptional (2e) profiles, or individuals who recognize in themselves a particularly fast, complex, highly associative way of thinking, combined with a strong need for intellectual and emotional depth. Many members of our community also identify as autistic, ADHD, highly sensitive, or otherwise neurodivergent. However, Gifted Zoo is not intended to be a general neurodivergence or Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) community. Our experience is that members tend to feel most understood, energized, and at ease when they share a similar cognitive experience and conversational pace. This is not a judgment of anyone's intelligence, value, or potential. Rather, it reflects our intention to cultivate a space where people who often feel "out of sync" with others can experience a sense of ease, recognition, belonging, and peer connection.
