Giving Sunday with Countess Eloise van Oranje of Holland: Basket Lane
Hi, my name is Eloise van Oranje. I’m a social fashion entrepreneur from the Netherlands. Through my enterprise My Lima Lima, we raise funds for youth-led projects around the world
I’m honored to invite you to Basket Lane, a special Giving Sunday experience in New York City designed to turn community into direct impact
This day is centered around children a moment to come together, explore, and celebrate creativity through music, art, play, and giving
Following a week of programming including a panel and fashion showcase, we are now taking action on the ground
Yesterday, we distributed over 250 meals to families in Harlem. Today, we continue that work in Chelsea Projects by delivering groceries, toys, and resources directly to families
From 1 PM to 4 PM, you’ll join us for an Easter egg hunt, creative activities, and a collaborative giving experience. Afterward, those who choose can participate in small group runs to purchase and distribute goods in real time
This is a hands-on, choose-your-own-impact experience. Here’s how you can participate:
If You Are Bringing Groceries (Giving Food)
Come prepared with bags of groceries or plan to purchase them after arriving
Suggested contribution is $50 to $200 worth of food including produce, pantry items, snacks, and water
When you arrive, you’ll drop your items into our collection area, help organize if you’d like, and optionally join a group delivering directly to families in Chelsea
If You Are Bringing or Buying Gifts (Giving Games)
You can bring toys, games, or creative items for children or join a group going to nearby stores like GameStop, Best Buy, or Guitar Center
Suggested items include board games, sports equipment, art supplies, video games, or even consoles if you want to make a larger impact
After the Easter egg hunt, you’ll have the option to join a group outing, purchase items together, and contribute to distribution
If You Are Donating Money (Direct Donation)
You can support by making a financial contribution to Give to Empower
Donations help fund ongoing support for women, children, the arts, and future activations like this
You can donate ahead of time or during the event and also choose to stay involved beyond Sunday

If You Are Attending as a Family (Easter Experience)
Bring your children and enjoy a meaningful, creative afternoon
There will be an Easter egg hunt, music, art, and space to play and connect
Families are encouraged to also participate in giving whether that’s bringing items, contributing, or joining group actions together
If You Are a Connector (Organizations, Media, Philanthropy)
If you are connected to a nonprofit, foundation, brand, or distribution network, this is your entry point to collaborate
We are actively looking to partner with organizations working in food access, children’s support, and community distribution including groups like Toys for Tots and others
You can introduce us, bring resources, or help us scale this effort beyond today
No matter how you show up whether with groceries, gifts, funding, time, or relationships you are directly contributing to real impact in New York City
This is not just an event it is a coordinated moment of giving
Come be part of it
Make the change you want to see in the world and let's make impact radically accessible
