Set inside the CAA Centre on game night, this event brings together founders, investors, corporate leaders, and ecosystem builders for a premium experience at the intersection of sports, innovation, and capital.

This is not a traditional networking event. It is a curated environment where innovation is experienced live through a startup showcase, reverse-pitch conversations, high-value networking, experiential demos, and a Brampton Honey Badgers game-night atmosphere.

The event is designed to:

About the Speakers

John Albright
Relay Ventures is an early stage venture capital firm that invests in passionate entrepreneurs disrupting and creating new markets through technology focused on Fintech, Proptech and Sportstech and Media. John is primarily focused on SportsTech, gaming & Media. This creates an unparalleled set of networks and resources that tangibly assist founders build world-class companies. The firm is based in Toronto and primarily active throughout North America.
Relay Ventures

Sarah Stevens
Seasoned healthcare leader, consultant, former nurse, educator and project manager with over 25 years’ experience including a decade at SickKids. Her passion to contribute to larger scale ventures drove her to join Maple Leaf Angels in 2021. She is a member of the Investment Review Committee at MLA.

Sarah leverages her skills and expertise in healthcare to angel investing and real estate ventures. Supporter of women-led ventures as an LP with Women’s Equity Lab (WEL) Toronto Funds. She is active in the angel ecosystem as a Foresight Judge (Calgary), Venture Series Panel (Schulich Executive Learning Centre), hosted podcast for Spring Collective People of Impact, attended the World Venture Forum (Austria), Angels Den (St. Michael’s Foundation) and participant in several other related conferences.

Sarah holds a Master of Nursing Administration from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McMaster University where she co-captained the Women’s Varsity Volleyball Team. She completed level one Innovation Governance Program and was Vice Chair, Governance Committee of the Board of Directors of Humewood House. She is co author of publications including advisory reports to government to improve clinical care.

Neil Peet
Neil Peet is a Partner at GreenSky and has worked as an early-stage venture investor for ten plus years. GreenSky is a Canadian, B2B focused, deeper tech Venture firm, investing out of its sixth fund. Prior to GreenSky, Neil owned his own tech business and worked as an international strategy consultant. He holds an MBA / MGA from Rotman, and an HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business. In his spare time, he advises his three children on their entrepreneurial ventures and plays nerdy strategy board games.

Nick Kuryluk (Altitude Angels)
Nick Kuryluk is a seasoned executive, entrepreneur, and innovation ecosystem builder with over three decades of experience across biopharma, deep tech, and early-stage ventures. As Founder and President of CoSality™ Executive Partners Inc., he delivers fractional C-suite leadership to growth-stage companies --  providing the strategic and operational horsepower founders need without the overhead of full-time executive hires. A proud champion of Brampton's innovation community, Nick serves as Co-Chair of the Altitude Accelerator, Board Member of Brampton Angels, and actively collaborates with the City of Brampton's Innovation District and Invest Brampton's Economic Office to strengthen the region's startup ecosystem. He is also the co-founder of ColdBlock Technologies, a laboratory technology manufacturer where he has served as CEO and currently sits as Chairman of the Board. His prior career includes 21+ years at Amgen Canada, where he helped scale the organization from $50M to over $500M in 5-years, and he has held governance roles at the University of Toronto and the Brain Injury Association of Peel and Halton. Nick brings strategic clarity, hands-on execution, and a genuine passion for building the next generation of great Canadian companies, right here in Brampton.

Lally Rementilla 
Lally Rementilla is a global pioneer in intellectual property finance - known for her leadership, strategic acumen, creativity and relentless drive to help companies grow by leveraging intellectual property to obtain financing.

As the founder of IP Investment Partners, she leads the development of customized financing solutions for the global IP ecosystem by working with institutional investors in making IP-related investments - with a focus on debt, hybrid structures and securitization.  Focus areas include technology, healthcare, advanced manufacturing and creative industries.  In addition, she provides value creation services to IP-rich entities and advises governments and policymakers on matters related to IP finance and IP ecosystem development. 

Previously, she was Managing Partner of IP Investments at BDC Capital where her team managed the IP-Backed Financing fund.  Prior to that she was CEO of Quantius, an IP-backed lender which was a winner in the 2019 Canadian Hedge Fund Awards.

Her journey started in the telecommunications, media and technology sectors where she held senior finance roles at Lucent Technologies Canada, Lavalife Corp and Nulogy Corporation.

A thought leader in the intersection of IP and finance, she contributed a chapter in the book Intellectual Property Management for Start-Ups and has spoken in forums hosted by WIPO, the EU, IVSC, LESI, IPBC, INTA, IPOS and the Korean PCIP.

In addition, she has served on the boards of the Innovation Asset Collective (Canada’s first patent collective), the Information Technology Association of Canada and Interaxon. 

Lally has a BA in Communications from the Ateneo de Manila University, an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University and is a CPA.
