A Special Milestone
For 125 years, BCNC has been building bridges between Belgium and the Bay Area — bringing together the Belgian community through friendship, culture, and shared pride in our heritage. This gala is our chance to come together and honor that legacy in style.
A Historic Setting
The Green Room is one of San Francisco's most elegant civic spaces, set inside the historic War Memorial Veterans Building overlooking City Hall. The War Memorial complex also holds a remarkable place in world history: it was here that delegates gathered in 1945 for the conference that gave birth to the United Nations, with the UN Charter signed in the adjoining Veterans Auditorium, now Herbst Theatre.
The Awards
The highlight of the evening will be the presentation of our inaugural community-nominated awards, celebrating outstanding Belgians in the Bay Area across three categories:
🏆 Belgian of the Bay 2026 — the all-around award for a Belgian who has achieved something exceptional in the Bay Area, in any field.
🔬 Belgian Scientist of the Year — honoring exceptional contributions in research, science, or innovation.
🚀 Belgian Rising Star — recognizing someone building something exciting and promising in the business world.
