Speaker: Dr. Tara Margarella
Tara Margarella, DO, the Vice President of Medical Affairs for Hugel Aesthetics. Dr. Margarella is an accomplished general and aesthetic surgeon who has spent her career partnering with patients to deliver optimal aesthetic results and working with pharmaceutical and device companies to deliver treatments that better meet the needs of aesthetic physicians and patients. She most recently served as Chief Medical Officer at Ideal Image where she drove the medical strategy and led the company’s innovation pipeline and medical advisory board, and oversaw the Medical Affairs, Medical Operations and Medical Education teams. Prior to joining Ideal Image, Dr. Margarella served as a senior medical director and medical affairs leader, directing operational and global medical and regulatory strategies at both well-known aesthetics pharmaceutical companies and disruptive biotech startups. She served as Senior Medical Director at Endo Aesthetics. Prior to that, she was Director of Global Scientific Education and Training at Allergan Aesthetics, where she was responsible for the company’s facial portfolio. Dr. Margarella has also served as Vice President of Global Medical Affairs at Thermi, and as Director of Scientific Strategy at Suneva Medical. Dr. Margarella holds a medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a residency in general surgery at NYU Langone Lutheran Medical Center as well as fellowship training in cosmetic surgery. She also holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Chemistry, from NYU-Polytechnic (now Tandon) School of Engineering.
