About Event

Almost every day someone asks me about peptides. People running self-experiments with whatever a random online store sends them. People with injuries, hormonal issues, lack of energy, or brain fog, struggling to focus.

As head of business development at a longevity clinic, I went deep into the peptide space: sourcing, regulation and the health concerns that come with both.

Peptides are much older than most people think. The first one was synthesised in 1882. Insulin, which has kept millions of people alive for a century, is a peptide, and so are the GLP-1 medicines millions of people take today. What is new is a wave of compounds being used long before the human trials exist, sold through a supply chain very few people know how to judge.

We dive into questions like:

  • What are peptides in the first place, and what does your body do with them?

  • What kinds of peptides are out there, and why do people take them?

  • What does "For Research Purposes Only" really mean?

  • What does the evidence actually show, from approved medicines to animal studies and four decades of Russian research?

  • Where do I get them from, and can a doctor prescribe them to me?

  • What is allowed, especially in the EU, and what is not? And what did the FDA advisory vote in July really change?

  • Where does the raw material come from, and why does that matter so much?

  • What about contamination with endotoxins, heavy metals or the wrong molecule entirely?

  • How do I read a certificate of analysis, and how do I recognise a fake one?

  • Is "buy from a compounding pharmacy" actually good advice?

  • What has to be in place first, so peptides are not working against poor sleep, food and inflammation?

I will also show you a real certificate of analysis on screen and walk through exactly what to look for.

This evening is about education, clarification, and finding a path through one of the hottest health topics right now.

A special guest from the US

A US physician who advises the FDA on peptide regulation joins us live via Zoom, to share how the US is handling Peptides related questions right now, and to help with any specific concerns that go beyond my scope.

The evening

17:30 Doors open
17:45 Workshop + Q&A
19:00 Networking, Drinks, Dinner by the TEJÁ kitchen, and conversation by the river
21:00 Close

Your first drink as non-member of Teja is included in the ticket price.

Who it is for

Anyone considering peptides, anyone already using them, and the coaches, practitioners and clinicians who keep getting asked about them.

This is an education evening. I will not tell you what to take, and nothing is sold in the room. It is not medical advice, and if you are thinking about starting anything, please do it together with a doctor.

About the Host

I am Thomas Weidlich, founder of Noēsis - The Longevity Collective, a community of founders, doctors, scientists, authors and some brilliant investors. Before that I was head of business development at a longevity clinic, which is where I went deep into peptides: the research, the regulation and the supply chain behind them. Today I spend a lot of my time helping people separate the evidence from the marketing.
