Period Palooza: Make Kits. Build Community. Craft Change
In the spirit of Mother’s Day and celebrating the superpowers women possess, we invite you to join us for a hands-on community gathering where we come together to assemble period kits for women and girls in need across the U.S. and globally.
I’m co-hosting with Boston Amigas, with support from other local organizations and friends, as a simple way to turn awareness into action. All are welcome.
How it works
Contribute toward the kits at https://givebutter.com/Qe3FGH/mayas-bees
Materials will be provided, and we will assemble/craft the kits together
$11 = 55 products for girls in need
Please submit your contribution prior to the event
Why it matters
Period poverty is more present than most of us realize. Nearly 1 in 4 students in the U.S. have struggled to afford period products, and globally over 500 million women and girls lack consistent access. This affects health, confidence, school attendance, and everyday participation.
What to expect
A welcoming space to connect, craft, and contribute
Light structure, easy conversation, shared purpose
The chance to make a tangible impact in just a couple of hours
