Tie Dye: Patterns [Triangles + Arcs]
Tie dye is a tried and true summer activity - splotches and swirls of colors we've been making since we were kids. In this workshop we'll level up your fabric folding technique so your new tie dye is anything but ordinary.
Learn how to fold fabric into a repeating triangle pattern and how to create arcs in fabric. You'll do this with two dish towels that you will then dye and take home to use!
We will provide:
Two blank XL-sized dish towels
Rubber bands + resists to tie up your fabric
The choice of 2 dye bath colors to infuse your fabric with color
Instructions on how to wash/care for your newly dyed dish towels!
Safety Reminders:
We'll be working with non-toxic dye, but it does stain clothes and skin. Please wear dark clothes. We will provide gloves.
MASK REMINDER:
The Collaboratory is a *Masks Required* space. 😷 We also run two air filters/purifiers during our gatherings. If you don't arrive with a mask, don't worry—we'll have them available at the door.
If you're not feeling well or have reason to believe you've been exposed to COVID, please consider staying home. COVID is real y'all, let's keep each other safe. 😷
