Who Still Cares About The Ends?
WHO STILL CARES ABOUT THE ENDS –- Your Voice Matters
Who This Is For
Is your community being taken from right under your nose? Do you want to do something about it, but don't know where to start?
Well, this is for you. It's time for the diaspora to come together and do something about the destruction of our communities.
You don't need any sort of experience in anything. All you need to do is bring yourself and bring your ideas.
Why You Should Come
Our communities are being torn down and replaced with other communities that don't want us.
Who Still Cares About The Ends is a cry to find out who wants to do something about it. Who grew up in the ends and doesn't want to see it stolen?
This isn't a lecture. This is an open discussion to find out what we're going to do about it.
You grew up in your area. You know it better than anybody. So if anybody should have a say in how it's being developed then it's you. Not some developer who only sees the ends for its profits and not the people.
Who Still Cares About the Ends is about taking back what's ours.
A Rundown:
14:00 PM – Arrival & Settle In
Doors open at 2pm. As you come through, you’ll be made to feel at ease by our front of house on the night.
You'll have a variety of activities you can do before we start:
Authors of The Estate Screening
A selection of books
Arts and Crafts
Games
15:00 PM – Welcome & Guest Speaker
Once you've settled in, you'll be given an intro into what we do here at Hood Futures and why we exist. You'll also be hearing from a local resident who is on a mission to get 100,000 men into therapy.
15:30 PM – Open Discussion
Then it's the community discussion where you get to air your problems, solutions and fears around "regeneration".
This is where we imagine the best possible scenario. If we were the ones developing the ends what would we want? What would we build? Who would it serve?
These are just some of the questions we're going to answer together. Every voice matters. The more the merrier.
16:00 PM – Food
Everybody's favourite part of the day follows the community link up. Hot food will be served and you'll have free roam to catch up with your peers.
17:00 PM – We Finish Up
Unfortunately, this is where we say goodbye. For now anyway. Make sure to keep your eyes open for the next community link up.

Why This Matters
Home is where the heart is. But wouldn't it be great to still have a home to come back to.
If nobody else is going to listen to what we have to say then we have to create rooms where our voices can be heard.
All ideas are valid. And we need all the ideas we can get if we want to save the ends from being torn apart.
