Virtual Mahjong 101

​Missed our first Mahjong 101? This is your chance to catch up from home.

​Our first in-person Mahjong 101 was fantastic, and the feedback from attendees was exactly what we hoped for: people left more confident, less overwhelmed, and ready to keep learning.

​This Virtual Mahjong 101 is a 2-hour teaching session designed to help you understand the basics, read the 2026 NMJL card, learn the flow of the Charleston, and feel more comfortable before sitting down to play real hands.

​This class is perfect if you are brand new, missed our first session, or want a refresher before joining us for Mahjong 102, which will be an in-person event on the evening of July 13. Mahjong 102 tickets will be $75 per person.

​Once we have enough people ready to play, our goal is to start hosting regular open play Mahjong events too, so this is a great first step if you have been wanting to join the table.
