Notebook.link: Rethinking Scientific Communication with Scalable, Interactive, AI-enabled Jupyter Notebooks

Sylvain Corlay and Jeremy Tuloup, CEO and Technical Director at Quantstack, will present Notebook.link: a new platform designed to change how scientific knowledge is shared and communicated. Drawing on over a decade of maintaining and advancing the Jupyter ecosystem, Corlay and Tuloup will describe a paradigm that goes beyond static content or traditional “Jupyter as a service” solutions. Notebook.link enables live, interactive notebooks — complete with language kernels, widgets, and custom packages — that can be shared publicly at scale and embedded directly in web articles, blogs, and presentations. They will give an overview of the current options for using AI in Jupyter, from terminal coding agents and assistants running directly in the browser to Jupyter AI’s integrated chat and notebook tools. The talk highlights how these approaches fit different workflows and environments, from JupyterLab to JupyterLite, and explore Jupyter’s impact on open science, reproducibility, and public engagement with research.
