Personal Branding Workshop with Jeanel Carlson
Graduate Women in Business is hosting a 90-minute interactive personal branding workshop led by Jeanel Carlson, co-founder of OakBloom Marketing. Jeanel brings over 20 years of corporate marketing and communications experience, including time at Apple’s Claris division and HackerOne, and now helps professionals own their story and build visibility in an AI-driven world.
The session will cover what personal branding is and how it differs from company branding, why it matters for early-career professionals, how AI tools perceive your online presence, and practical LinkedIn improvements attendees can apply immediately. The format is highly interactive, with breakout discussions and group sharing rather than a lecture.
This event supports GWiB’s mission of empowering and advocating for women in business, while remaining open and valuable to all SCU graduate students and alumni. It directly serves Leavey’s career readiness goals by giving students concrete tools to strengthen their professional presence and stand out in a competitive job market.
