East Village Write Club

​East Village Write Club is a neighborhood space for writers who want a little company while they create. It’s a small, loose community for anyone drafting online, journaling, building a novel, shaping an essay, completing a project for work, or just trying to get words out of their head and onto a page.

​Our sessions are simple:

​7pm - Meet each other and share what you’re hoping to write that day (welcome to join the hosts earlier starting at 6:30pm).

​7:15pm - Settle in for a focused hour of writing

​8:30pm - Regroup in small groups to talk about what came up in the process

​Come write with us. Let’s build a tiny creative refuge in the East Village, one session at a time!

​A local cafe/restaurant has opened its doors to us (Ave B & E 10th), and we’re grateful. Ordering food or a drink helps support the small business and space that makes these gatherings possible.

​The pay-what-you-wish donation is mostly to secure your spot and support volunteer organizing efforts. No one gets turned away.
