Why this is important?
An Oral Surgeon recently said to me, "Sedation is the riskiest part of what I do."
I agree! Sedation in a Dental and OS Practice is risky.
Did you know? In the US, about 1 death / day occurs due to an medical event that starts in a dental or OS Practice!
Who is at the highest risk? Those performing sedation, and caring for the young, elderly, and medically compromised.
While important, BLS/ ACLS/ PALS certification training does NOT thoroughly prepare a dental/OS team for sedation emergencies.
Learn the 4 building blocks/ pillars of readiness so you AND your team avoid unnecessary harm to your patients, lawsuits, and bad publicity.
