Gregangelo Museum ARTALK
Overview
Join the Gregangelo Museum for our celebration of the inaugural Future of Us festival in San Francisco. Step into a kaleidoscopic Thursday at the Gregangelo Museum where art, conversation, and cuisine collide. ARTALKS is the only weekly immersive experience hosted by Gregangelo, offering a rare connection to the vibrant soul of San Francisco. For decades, these Thursdays were private gatherings for artists only. Now the public can join this exclusive behind-the-scenes ritual.
The afternoon begins with live music, a meet and greet, and a 10-minute Speed Talk from a luminary in arts, culture, or social justice, including an intimate Q&A. Enjoy a home-cooked picnic lunch from our Foodways program in the Garden of Innocence, surrounded by imagination and laughter.
Explore Behind-the-Scenes and into the Forbidden Art Studios at the museum to meet the makers, see art in progress, and uncover the stories behind upcoming shows. Step inside a living painting where every guest contributes their color to the scene.
What to Expect
ARTALKS is a multigenerational and multicultural bridge designed for everyone. We unite global travelers, local seniors, youth, and professionals within a digital-free zone. This is a high-velocity return to authentic human connection where every guest is invited to share their story. It is our most accessible experience, offering a grounded entry point into the soul of San Francisco.
This is the only weekly opportunity for the public to move behind the scenes. Guests meet our artists in residence as they develop mosaic, sculpture, and large-scale immersive installations. By entering these private working environments, you uncover the subconscious narratives of the current experience economy. This is a rare, uncurated encounter with the makers of the city’s living history.

About the Gregangelo Museum
A San Francisco Landmark and a recognized Legacy Business, the Gregangelo Museum is more than an art house. It is a "Connectatorium." Peculiarly and unexpectedly located off the beaten path west of Twin Peaks, this Mediterranean Revival masterpiece has been transformed over four decades into a 27-room immersive journey

About Good Neighbor Lab
Good Neighbor Lab helps San Franciscans become more connected to our neighbors, more informed about our communities, and more engaged in shaping our city. We envision a future where residents in every neighborhood feel connected to those around them, are comfortable reaching out to socially isolated neighbors, and can access local information in public spaces. This future strengthens local democracy, civic participation, and community connection across San Francisco and beyond.

About the Future of Us Festival
Launching on America's 250th anniversary, the inaugural Future of Us festival is a 10-day celebration of civic imagination and possibility. We're turning community-sourced, expert-crafted visions of the future into art, storytelling, and participatory experiences. With 100+ events spanning every corner of the city (floral labyrinths, speculative future worlds, dance parties with a purpose, and neighborhood meet-ups), it's a living exploration of what a more creative and generative civic culture could feel like. Organized around four themes (Green Futures, Social Futures, Science & Tech Futures, and Media Futures), Future of Us is breaking down the barriers between art, ideas, and each other, and everyone is invited to co-imagine what comes next.
