A Queer Practice of Active Hope
How do we stay present to a world in crisis without becoming overwhelmed, numb, or resigned? And what might queer experience have to teach us about finding possibility in uncertain times?
A Queer Practice of Active Hope is an experiential workshop drawing from Joanna Macy’s Work That Reconnects, explored through a queer lens.
Together, we’ll move through practices of gratitude, grief, connection, and imagination - not to convince ourselves that everything will be okay, but to strengthen our capacity to meet the world as it is and participate in what might yet become possible.
This is a practice session as I develop this offering, so participation is free. I’m especially interested in gathering people who are willing to engage wholeheartedly with the practices and offer honest feedback afterward.
No previous experience with the Work That Reconnects is necessary.
