The Hardware Meetup community is excited to announce the 112th NY Hardware Meetup at Viam
Hardware Meetups happen across 30+ cities around the world, bringing together hardware professionals to network and learn from each other. You might not realize it, but NYC is a hotbed for this kind of innovation and tonight you'll meet two companies working at the cutting edge of this technology.
This month we'll be at Viam. Viam brings modern software engineering to robotics, with everything companies need to build and run intelligent machines. The Viam platform enables engineers of all disciplines to collaborate efficiently and build robotic solutions that are fast and future-proof. Viam powers solutions across sectors, including manufacturing, marine, climate, logistics, entertainment and more. Founded in 2020 by MongoDB co-founder and former CTO Eliot Horowitz, Viam is headquartered in New York City.
SPEAKERS
Nicole Maffeo is a co-founder at Gambit Robotics, an AI-powered cooking platform. She was previously co-founder and CEO of the blockchain startup, SIZE, and a Senior Manager at Google AI Research.
Kristian Killian is VP of Strategic Partnerships & Manufacturing at OVA Solutions. He brings 20+ years of medical device experience, from his start as a Navy Corpsman to building sales networks across orthopedic and surgical markets. He specializes in connecting innovative medtech companies with the right partners and customers. He's known for solving complex problems and building relationships that move products from concept to market.
Natalia Jacobowitz has been at Viam for four years, working as both a Product Manager and an Applied R&D Engineer. She enjoys programming robots for fun and sharing her creations on Instagram (@natalia.does.robotics). She previously worked on Microsoft Teams and studied Computer Engineering at Columbia University.
