Lawyers Outside the Box: A Creativity Workshop
Do you ever get tired of being so meticulous all the time as an attorney and wish you could balance it out with a touch of creativity?
This was me, too! I am an attorney and I can absolutely do precise work day in and day out. But when this was all I did, it always felt like something was missing. When I started putting my ideas into a different format, my creative confidence flourished. I was still working within structure and constraints, but I could experiment and communicate my ideas in a completely new way.
Eventually, this crept its way back into my legal writing as I started being more comfortable thinking outside the box. This was transformative for me, and I want this for you, too!
This is what I’m offering: I am offering a structured, 55-minute online workshop designed to help you tap into your creativity and experiment with written communication.
We’ll be experimenting with a very hands-on, analog, and human way of communicating the written word. (For the initiated, you’re going to learn how to make a zine!)
What You’ll Need: No specific experience or skill level is required; please feel welcome no matter how comfortable you are with the word “creative.” This is designed to be a no pressure, fun environment, where there are no wrong answers.
Come with your favorite pen (or art supplies, if you love color), a few pieces of 8.5x11 paper, a pair of scissors, and your own brain. (Kindly leave your gen ai friends at home.)
What you’ll take home: You’ll leave with your very own zine, written and created by you.
But that’s not all. You’ll also walk away with a new technique that you can lean on to think outside the box and become a better lawyer and communicator. Best of all, you’ll take home a reminder that you, too, are creative.
