Enabling Dynamic Data Planning for an Agile Energy Workforce
Overview
As electrical networks become more complex and demand greater flexibility, traditional planning methods are being stretched. In this roundtable, hosted by dataengine and in collaboration with Counties Energy and Snowflake, we’ll explore how dynamic data strategies and semantic modeling can support an agile, informed, and future-ready workforce across engineering, asset management, and IT domains.
This session will be led by John Martin, Chief Architect at Counties Energy and mediated by Akash Jattan, CEO at dataengine to foster a practical discussion around:
How planning and decision-making are impacted by today’s operational and regulatory environment
Anticipating the data and system changes that will shape the next generation of network planning
The potential of semantic models to bridge gaps across domains and systems
Technological pathways to making data more actionable and interoperable
Key Exploration Questions
What are the key factors currently impacting network and asset planning across your teams?
Looking ahead, what emerging factors (e.g. DERs, electrification, regulatory shifts, data silos) could further complicate planning?
If you could ask your data a ‘model question’, what insights would you want it to deliver, instantly and reliably?
Where are current tools falling short on? And how could technology (AI, automation, digital twins, semantic models) begin to close the gap?
What does a scalable, future-ready planning model look like? And how do we begin building it today?
