Theory and Practice Seminar: Deliberation

​This will be a discussion of the theme of deliberation in democratic theory and new democratic practice (especially new delib tech). All are welcome, whatever your level of knowledge of the relevant theory or practice.

​We'll start with a brief intro to key concepts in deliberative democratic theory, then discuss how these can or should relate to the work of deliberative tool-builders and other practitioners.

​Find a list of readings here (also metagov.org/projects/theory-practice). You're welcome even if you don't have time to read or watch anything, but we recommend looking over at least a few items so the discussion can start from some shared context.
