About Event

You can know what needs to change and still feel yourself tightening, bracing, or working harder when more is being asked of you.

Pressure builds. There is more to manage. More responsibility to carry. More uncertainty to navigate.

And often, the body responds before we consciously realize it — through a held breath, a tight stomach, tension through the ribs, or a back that keeps working to hold everything together.

Part Two of A New Way Forward focuses on the core, diaphragm, ribs, and mid-back — areas involved in breathing, support, movement, and how we organize ourselves when there is more to handle.

What We’ll Explore

Through guided R³ Group Bodywork, we’ll use self-bodywork, movement, awareness, and reflection to work with these connected areas and notice what happens when effort, pressure, or responsibility increases.

We’ll explore themes such as:

  • pressure and responsibility

  • effort and control

  • bracing and holding

  • carrying more than is necessary

  • creating more room to move and respond

These are not fixed meanings assigned to the body. They are reference points that can help you notice the relationship between what you feel physically and how you may be responding in other areas of your life.

What Is R³ Group Bodywork?

R³ is a guided, body-led process that brings together physical bodywork, movement, awareness, education, and reflection.

You’ll be guided through ways of working with your own body while also learning more about the areas we’re focusing on and how they function together.

The intention is not to force the body to change or make something happen.

It is to become more aware of what your body is already doing, work with it directly, and develop practical ways to respond differently when familiar patterns show up.

What to Expect

This is a two-hour experiential group session.

Most of the work is done on your own body and at your own pace. Hands-on support from Lisa may also be offered during the session and is always optional and based on your consent.

You’ll remain fully clothed throughout.

You can pause, modify, observe, or opt out of any part of the experience at any time.

No previous bodywork, movement, or somatic experience is required.

Wear comfortable clothing you can move in and bring a pillow for additional support.
