About Event
Grid City is a project to explore the design, architecture and planning of New York City through running. Each month features a new topic, route and subject-matter guide who leads the group’s run and education.
This month will be led by Thomas Guerra (SOM) and topic will be the scaffolding that wraps New York’s buildings, hovers over our sidewalks and public spaces, and sometimes seems to take over the city. Along the route, we’ll explore scaffolding's history, how it shapes our experience of the streets, and the controversies and legislative battles surrounding it.
Easy 4.5-mile run followed by coffee and pastries. Bag check available. Route available on Strava.
