About Event

Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) is home to some of the world’s most strategic ecosystems, including the Amazon rainforest, tropical forests, mangroves, and biodiversity hotspots that are critical to global climate stability. At the same time, the region faces mounting environmental pressures, from deforestation and biodiversity loss to increasing climate vulnerability and underinvestment in conservation.

While Nature-based Solutions (NbS) are increasingly recognized as essential tools for climate mitigation and adaptation, financing gaps and fragmented collaboration continue to limit their scale and long-term sustainability. In this context, philanthropy has emerged as a catalytic force capable of de-risking innovation, supporting community-led solutions, and mobilizing partnerships across the public, private, and civil society sectors.

This webinar will explore how philanthropic actors are advancing nature-based solutions in Latin America through blended finance, ecosystem restoration, biodiversity conservation, environmental education, and locally rooted climate resilience initiatives.

Drawing from experiences across the region, the conversation will examine how philanthropic organizations, corporations, and impact networks can work together to build scalable and inclusive models that align environmental protection with sustainable development.
