Making Sense Of Complexity
How do you make better decisions when your impact work involves many different stakeholders (communities, government, funders) and priorities?
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll be introduced to the Business Aligner framework by TAO Consulting, a tool that helps you map out the different forces affecting your organization, understand where tensions come from, and see how your own role influences the bigger picture. Through practical exercises and guided discussion, you’ll learn to step back from day-to-day challenges, connect the different pieces, and identify where you can have the most impact.
This session is for you if you:
Lead or manage a team or organisation
Are a founder or part of a founding team
Work in strategy, a Founder’s Office or Chief of Staff role
Regularly navigate multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
Are stepping into a larger leadership role
You will leave with:
A clearer view of the forces shaping a challenge you are currently navigating
A way to identify tensions and blind spots that may be affecting your decisions
Greater clarity on where you have influence and where you may need to adapt your response
A practical framework you can use again when facing complex decisions
This is not a lecture on systems thinking. Come with a real challenge, question or situation from your work that you would like to make sense of.
