About Event

As you know, the climate crisis is bearing down hard on the global south; witnessing this and the daily news that affects us here in the US are right in front of us on our screens and in some cases, the air we breathe. If you are ready to unpack your suppressed feelings about this, then you found your community. We meet every 5th day of the month. Keep coming back.

This is a peer-support, virtual gathering circle. We will go around the circle to express any emotions or events we may be experiencing. We do not give advice to one another, nor shame for inaction. We only listen and resonate.

This is not a meditation.

This meeting's Climate Composure topic is: "What is the impact of the frequency of heat to communities in the PNW and/or globally. How is OSHA protecting our outdoor workers? --and other such impacts and outcomes. related to extreme heating events."

A safe space nothing you say will be shared anywhere else. We come together to unburden ourselves from the heaviness of the climate crisis. To acknowledge our feelings is to uncover, discover, and discard the negativity and pent-up feelings that may prevent meaningful engagement with our work and relationships.

This Climate Emotions Circle will be hosted by a trained climate resilience facilitator, Drew Alcoser. https://cascadiastack.org/the-people

The point is to share your understanding and/or experience; admitting to feelings/lack of strength; and finally, an expression of any hope that you are striving for.

Please be sure to have a private and quiet space for this gathering with minimal distractions, camera-on is preferred to enhance feelings of safety and comfort to feel heard.
