Join us for an inspiring evening that pulls back the curtain on how creative work really gets made. When people think of creative careers, they usually picture designers, writers, strategists and directors. Behind every campaign, shoot and launch, though, there’s a whole world of roles that rarely get talked about, and they might be exactly where you belong.
This edition of “Routes In…” is co-hosted with The Engine Room and comes in two parts:
It opens with a presentation by Brogan Wright, Founder of 'The Engine Room' and Brand Creative Studio Manager at Nike, exploring the roles that power the creative industry from the inside: what they involve, the job titles and career paths that exist, and practical ways to get your foot in the door.
After that, a panel of people working in these roles will share the stories of their ‘Routes In’: the beautiful struggles, turning points and milestones that shaped their paths into the industry.

In her role as Brand Creative Studio Manager at Nike, she leads the operations behind some of the world’s most recognised creative work. Having spent her career behind the scenes, bringing together people, ideas and projects, she’s passionate about opening up pathways into the creative industry and shining a light on the roles that often go unseen.
Through The Engine Room, Brogan wants to pull back the curtain on the often-overlooked roles that bring creative work to life, share the knowledge that isn’t always taught and help the next generation discover career paths they might never have known existed.
