Join us for an inspiring evening that pulls back the curtain on how creative work really gets made. When people think of creative careers, they usually picture designers, writers, strategists and directors. Behind every campaign, shoot and launch, though, there’s a whole world of roles that rarely get talked about, and they might be exactly where you belong.
This edition of “Routes In…” is co-hosted with The Engine Room and comes in two parts:
It opens with a presentation by Brogan Wright, Founder of 'The Engine Room' and Brand Creative Studio Manager at Nike, exploring the roles that power the creative industry from the inside: what they involve, the job titles and career paths that exist, and practical ways to get your foot in the door.
After that, a panel of people working in these roles will share the stories of their ‘Routes In’: the beautiful struggles, turning points and milestones that shaped their paths into the industry.

Always connecting people, championing emerging talent and shining a light on the work behind the scenes. In her role as Brand Creative Studio Manager at Nike, she leads the operations behind some of the world’s most recognised creative work. Having spent her career behind the scenes, bringing together people, ideas and projects, she’s passionate about opening up pathways into the creative industry and shining a light on the roles that often go unseen.
Through The Engine Room, Brogan wants to pull back the curtain on the often-overlooked roles that bring creative work to life, share the knowledge that isn’t always taught and help the next generation discover career paths they might never have known existed.
Cecilia Russolo
Freelance Senior Producer
Ceci is an Amsterdam-based freelance producer with over seven years of experience working across leading creative agencies, including Wieden+Kennedy, 72andSunny and Preacher. She has delivered campaigns and activations for brands including Zalando, Under Armour, e.l.f. Cosmetics and Hennessy. Having grown up across Italy, Portland, Tokyo and Amsterdam, she brings a global perspective to her work, alongside a passion for culture, fashion and sport.
Sean Sambo
Producer at Nike // Freelance Photographer
Sean is a Caribbean-Dutch creative whose work is rooted in connection, culture and storytelling. Growing up between different cultures and communities shaped both his visual perspective and his ability to connect with the people he works with. Alongside his role as a Producer at Nike, he works as a freelance photographer, drawing on a background in graphic design to create human-centred imagery for clients such as Nike SNKRS, Canon and International Dance League. Through his work, Sean shows that sport, culture and community are inseparable, turning everyday street culture into art.
Caroline Dillen
Creative Marketing Operations Freelance
With experience both in-house and on agency-side, Caroline has built her career around bringing creative teams and projects together across the fashion, sports and lifestyle industries, working with brands such as Scotch & Soda, adidas, New Balance and Nike. Now working as a freelance Creative Studio Manager, she brings a people-first mindset, a sharp eye for detail and a passion for bringing people, processes and creativity together to make great creative work happen.
