​🚀 Toronto Tech Week 2026: Hackathon Mixer
​For Toronto Tech Week 2026, we are starting with a Hackathon Mixer.
​This event brings together organizers and top hackers from across Ontario including communities such as:
​• KingHacks
​• UofT Hacks
​• GenAI Genesis
​• TMU Tech Week
​• CTRL+HACK+DEL
​• and more
​
​📍 Toronto — TMU / University of Toronto (Final venue TBA)
​📅 Toronto Tech Week (May 25–29)
​⏱️ ~2–3 hour networking mixer
​
​🤝 What This Event Is
​This event creates a space for:
​• Hackathon organizers
​• Hackathon winners and experienced hackers
​• Sponsors and community leaders
​to connect, share insights, and strengthen the hackathon ecosystem in Ontario.
​
​Our goal is to start building a united community:
​The Ontario Hackathon Coalition.
​
​Together, this coalition can attract the world’s best sponsors and support more hackathons across the province.

​🌎 Long-Term Vision
​Looking ahead to Toronto Tech Week 2027 or 2028, the Ontario Hackathon Coalition could organize something much bigger.
​The goal would be to host the world’s largest single-location hackathon at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, featuring:
​• world-class sponsors
​• thousands of hackers
​• a $1M grand prize
​
