This talk examines how stalkers construct belief systems in which connection, reciprocity, and obligation exist long before any contact occurs. Dr. Timothy Ingram walks through the recognized typologies of stalking behavior, the mechanics of escalation from unwanted attention to credible threat, and why early warning signs are so often misread by victims and bystanders alike. The frame is forensic: how these cases are evaluated when they reach the courts, what assessors look for, and what the psychology reveals about how someone comes to believe another person already belongs to them.
