Got Climate Grief? Join FromSoil2Soul for an immersive Soundbath & Compost Ritual
YOU are invited to a potent and inclusive communal ritual designed to regenerate climate activists and offer a grounding and centering practice to the climate community.
What is climate grief? Climate Grief is a response to the profound losses from environmental injustices - including the collapse of our social and environmental systems. People who experience Climate Grief need a safe space to share and witness complex feelings—like grief, despair, fear, guilt, dread, powerlessness, overwhelm, and BURNOUT. Have you felt:
Hopeless or helpless in response to the quality of air you breathe from that factory down the street; the quality of water you drink since that chemical spill; or all that mercury and lead in your soil? Or maybe it's the impact of losing your home after that forest fire, flood, or drought.
Overwhelmed with concern about the future of our planet's social and ecological systems; and the future we are dropping into the hands of our kids?
All beings impacted by climate chaos are welcome. All people experiencing climate grief are welcome. All beings that can hold sacred and safe space - are welcome. All people: trans, genderqueer, and non-binary people, all grandmas, daughters, mamas, aunties, all people - are invited. All people of all spiritual traditions who walk or wheel through the soils of grief (every single one of us) - are invited.
Dev Brous will guide us in this FromSoil2Soul ritual, designed to offer solace as we hold climate grief, and make living SOIL. Then, join us to reset our nervous systems with an epic Soundbath guided by Gong Master Yaelle Shafir of the Don Conreaux Legacy Project. We will receive sound outdoors in the "Grief Garden."
*ACCESS: We aspire to keep this space accessible to all. Please let us know your access needs. It is our practice to burn herbs during rituals. Please bring a mask if herbal smoke is a concern for you, and let us know of any access needs when you register.
