Holistic Economics for These Times — 4-day course with Jay Tompt (Prague)
A four-day immersive course on new economic thinking — open-minded, pluralistic, and grounded in practice — led by Jay Tompt, who co-designed and co-led the MA in Regenerative Economics at Schumacher College.
For professionals in L&D, people & culture, sustainability, strategy and facilitation who want the concepts, cases and confidence to work with the economic transition already underway. Inspired by Schumacher College pedagogy and hosted by HOLA Academy (Institute for Future Studies), the course runs as a learning commons: taught sessions and dialogue, mornings by the river, evenings around the fire, a cohort of max. 25 from across Central Europe.
You’ll explore: degrowth, doughnut and regenerative economic narratives · economics of place and territory · human needs and capabilities · bioregionalism · conviviality, community and the arts · leadership implications for organisations.
Guest sessions: Ilektra Kouloumpi (Leadership in These Times, live) and a pre-course online warm-up with Sarah McKinley (The Democracy Collaborative).
