Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly changing how organizations work, serve their communities, develop talent, and prepare for the future. Across sectors, many of us are wrestling with the same practical questions.
How are organizations actually using AI today? What does responsible adoption look like? What are the real costs? How do we address data, privacy, and trust? And how do we prepare our organizations, workforce, and communities for what's ahead?
Join Miami EdTech for the kickoff of the Miami AI Readiness Coalition, an intimate working luncheon bringing together leaders from education, workforce development, nonprofits, employers, government, higher education, and community organizations.
The Miami AI Readiness Coalition is made possible with support from Citizens, whose investment is helping bring together leaders across South Florida to build a more inclusive and AI-ready region.
We'll be joined by Lili Gangas, Chief Technology Community Officer at the Kapor Center, for a featured conversation on what it takes to build an inclusive technology ecosystem in the age of AI. Lili co-leads the Kapor Center's Equitable Technology Policy Initiative, where her work focuses on responsible emerging technology, closing the digital divide, and developing more inclusive pathways into the technology workforce.
Drawing on her experience building cross-sector technology ecosystems and working across industry, government, workforce, and community organizations, Lili will help us explore a central question for South Florida: How do we ensure that organizations and communities are prepared not only to adopt AI, but to shape how it is implemented in ways that expand opportunity?
Following the opening conversation, we'll roll up our sleeves and explore what's actually happening inside our organizations and the real opportunities and challenges presented by AI adoption.
This will not be a traditional AI conference. Our goal is to create an environment for candid conversation, peer learning, and new connections across sectors.
Participants will leave with relevant insights, fresh ideas, new relationships, and a clearer understanding of where their organization sits on its AI readiness journey.

You don't need to be an AI expert.
We're intentionally bringing together organizations at different stages of AI adoption so we can learn from one another and better understand what South Florida needs to become AI-ready.
About the Miami AI Readiness Coalition
Led by Miami EdTech and made possible with support from Citizens, the Miami AI Readiness Coalition is a cross-sector initiative designed to help South Florida organizations move from AI curiosity to practical, responsible implementation.
Through five convenings, shared resources, peer learning, and the development of a regional AI Readiness Dashboard, the Coalition will explore organizational AI adoption, workforce readiness, responsible implementation, and equitable access to emerging technology.
