New York City Salon Dinner November: Resilience and Grit with Sam Selldorff
Join us for an intimate evening of conversation, connection, and culinary delight at a member’s home.
November's theme is Resilience & Grit: bouncing back from setbacks and failure, and the power of reframing. Every meaningful path includes moments that don’t go as planned: the venture that didn’t work out, the opportunity that slipped away, the season that tested us more than we expected. What matters is often less about the setback itself and more about how we carry it, learn from it, and choose to tell its story.
Around the table, we’ll explore questions such as: What’s a failure or setback that ended up shaping you in ways you didn’t expect? What helps you get back up when things fall apart, and what gets in the way? How do you tell the difference between grit that serves you and stubbornness that holds you back? When has reframing a situation changed how you experienced it? And how do we stay open and hopeful without dismissing what was genuinely hard?
This is an evening to share honestly, listen generously, and reflect on the quiet strength we’ve built through difficulty. A chance to consider not just what knocked us down, but what we discovered about ourselves in rising again.
Movi Salon Dinners are small, high-trust gatherings that spark meaningful dialogue among founders, creatives, and leaders. You’ll leave nourished in every sense, with deeper connections, new perspectives, and perhaps a sharper sense of who you’re becoming.
