โ๐ฅพ McKenzie Bight, Cascade Falls & Squally Reach Viewpoint
๐ Gowlland Tod Provincial Park
๐ Meet at 10:00 AM. We start shortly after.
โ๏ธ ~7.5 km
โ๏ธ ~250 m
โฑ๏ธ 2 to 2.5 hours
โ Moderate, with steep stairs on the Cascade Trail and a steady climb to Squally Reach
โMeet here
โWe meet at the McKenzie Bight parking lot on Ross-Durrance Rd, just off Willis Point Rd. There is an outhouse on site. The drive from downtown takes about 30 minutes.
โThe McKenzie Bight and Cascade Falls loop on its own runs about 1 to 1.5 hours, so we add the Timberman Trail extension out to the Squally Reach Viewpoint, roughly 3 km each way. The falls run best after fall and winter rain and can be a trickle in dry months.
โBring
โWear decent shoes. Bring water, layers for the weather, and any snacks you want. Trails around Victoria can get muddy and slippery from October through December.
โWe post weather, route, and access changes before each hike in the Tenfold community Discord. If you register and cannot make it, please update your RSVP so nobody waits for you in the parking lot.
โTouch Grass is Tenfold's Sunday hike series. Anyone is welcome.
โThis is a community-organized hike. There is no guide and no outdoor program. Know your limits and look after yourself and each other.
