Dungeons & Disasters
When you think of a “first responder,” who comes to mind? A uniformed official? A trained professional? In moments of crisis, first responders are sometimes just the people around us, our neighbors, our communities, in other words regular, every day people.
Dungeons and Disasters is a workshop and community dinner where we learn how to respond to disaster together through the gameplay of Dungeons and Dragons. Each attendee will be assigned a character to play as, complete with their own strengths and weaknesses...and maybe even some magic spells. 🧙♂️✨ As your Dungeon Master, I will guide you through the adventure as you make decisions from the perspective of your character and the collaboration of your group. If you do not want to participate in the roleplay, there is a spectator option available.
There are 3 sliding scale ticket tiers to select from. All tickets come with food and beverage and proceeds will go towards supporting a family in G@Z@. If you cannot attend but would like to donate, you may venmo @okracupid with “dnd” as the subject line. If cost is prohibitive, DM me and we can work something out!
Come ready to be creative, improvise, and broaden your mind to the many ways we can show up as better community members.
This is a QTPOC to the front event! You do not need any prior Dungeons and Dragons playing experience. You will be provided with a brief demo on gameplay at the start of the event and participants will receive a character sheet a week before the workshop.
