MOSAIC S2E4 // Culture • Psychedelics • Consciousness
Two years ago, MOSAIC started in a small intimate space. Now we're closing Season 2 where we began. This is our homecoming.
The S2E4 theme is 'Communitas'.
Communitas is Victor Turner's word for "a state of unstructured community with a feeling of intense solidarity, equality, and shared humanity that emerges during the liminal phase of rituals". Its what happens when hierarchy dissolves and strangers become equal through a shared experience. Bengalis call it "adda": talking until 3am about everything and nothing. Danes say "hygge": being exactly where you want to be. Koreans call it "jeong": the bond that forms when words stop being necessary.
Psychedelics have always stripped the masks and dissolved the distance. From the Eleusinian Mysteries to ayahuasca ceremonies, from peyote rituals to psilocybin trials helping people face death with grace, these medicines have been portals to connection for thousands of years.
What to expect at MOSAIC:
Conversation tracing psychedelics through history, ceremony, and therapy. How they've been used. Why they work. What they reveal about connection from the heart of the human condition.
Music that creates a sense of closeness.
Space to bypass the small talk and get to the good part. The part that manifests when everyone's asking the same questions you are.
No fire and spectacle this time. Just a room and the best people.
Ticket includes performance, panel, and curated community. For S2E4 season final, thanks to our generous venue sponsor Nikean Foundation, each ticket also includes a drink and canapes.
Doors open at 7pm. Programming starts at 8pm. Show ends at 10pm.
