Join us for Hacktoberfest Hack Day Mumbai, a community-driven day of building, learning, and collaborating around Open Source and AI.
Hosted by Hackerspace Mumbai, this Hack Day brings together developers, students, builders, maintainers, and open-source enthusiasts to explore, create, and share projects in the spirit of Hacktoberfest.
Whether you're making your first open-source contribution, building with open-weight AI models, experimenting with agents, creating developer tools, or contributing to an existing repository, you'll spend the day working alongside a passionate community of builders.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
Build projects using open-source software and open-weight AI models
Collaborate with fellow developers and community members
Learn from maintainers, contributors, and experienced builders
Showcase projects and demos
Participate in official Hacktoberfest challenges
Receive Hacktoberfest swag and prizes (subject to availability)
Before You Apply
Hacktoberfest Hack Day Mumbai is a curated, hands-on build event focused on Open-Source AI
This is not a conference, meetup, or drop-in networking event. Participants are expected to actively engage throughout the day by:
Building a new project
Contributing to an existing Open Source project
Developing with Open-Source AI
Collaborating with other participants
Taking part in project demos and showcase activities
Due to limited capacity and strong community interest, applications will be reviewed to ensure a balanced mix of first-time builders, contributors, maintainers, and professionals.
Submitting an application does not guarantee attendance.

Prioritize genuine participants and builders
Understand project interests and experience levels

Support all the tracks in the HackDay.
