About Event

Join us for an intimate afternoon in the Marin Headlands with Lama Tenzin Choegyal, the Buddhist monk who founded the CED Society — a home for rescued children of the Himalayas in Dehradun, India.

Over 25 years, Lama Tenzin has built a family for some of the most vulnerable children in the Himalayas, and gone on to create initiatives that employ and empower the communities around them — including Pink Pads, organic biodegradable menstrual pads made by local women and donated to girls and women who need them.

At this gathering you will:

  • Hear Lama Tenzin share the story of CED and his work

  • Meet two of his adult children, who grew up at CED and now help lead it

  • Learn about the launch of the Pink Pads factory

  • Hear the announcement of the first Pink Pads Learning Journey — a three-week trip in July 2027 to make the pads and deliver them across Nepal and India

Space is limited. Learn more at pinkpads.org.
