AI Safety Research Workshop

​The Policy Innovation Lab at Stellenbosch University has teamed up with AI Safety SA to bring you a collaborative initiative for researchers to exchange technical insights and explore the development of safer AI systems.

While centered on knowledge exchange, the workshop maintains a relaxed atmosphere to foster connections and interdisciplinary dialogue within the AI Safety and Stellenbosch University research community.

​The workshop objectives are:

• ​Provide a space for researchers to present current work through 10-minute talks and 10-minute Q&A sessions;

• ​Facilitate peer exchange on AI alignment, AI governance, and implementation of safety protocols;

• ​Identify opportunities for practical application and cooperative frameworks within the South African AI research landscape.

​The event brings together speakers from the Stellenbosch Policy Innovation Lab and the Cooperative AI Research Fellowship.
