Sound and Silence: A Guided Journey

Join us for a guided journey into sound and silence, resonance and wonder.

As you enter, you’ll hear gentle sounds to settle the nervous system from Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, and more. Then, Tai will guide you through a seated meditation, grounding through the body and the senses and landing in the soundscape.

You’ll be invited to lay down in a comfortable position as Sarah takes you into an immersive sound bath. The interplay of resonance and silence may feel peaceful, opening, or even wondrous.

This practice is for all levels - we welcome you as are! Please dress as comfortably as you like for a relaxed evening.

Guided By: Tai Bendit and Sarah Yeung

Tai is a teacher and practitioner of awakening with over a decade of immersive experience in the Tibetan Buddhist and Insight traditions. He has completed advanced 3-year tantric studies with a Tibetan Buddhist Lama based in Washington and has sat over 20 silent retreats (including two month-long immersions) in the Insight tradition.

Sarah Yeung is a certified sound healing practitioner, Reiki master teacher, yoga teacher (e-RYT 500), and interdisciplinary artist. Trained in multiple lineages, she has studied with teachers from diverse traditions, including teachers from Nepal and Tibet, bringing both traditional knowledge and a contemporary, integrative approach to her work.

Trauma-conscious and recovery-informed, Sarah’s work supports stress reduction and deep rest while cultivating inner awareness, embodied wellbeing, and greater capacity to meet life with presence and agency. She teaches and coaches individuals and groups and has partnered with museums, healthcare and educational institutions, community organizations, and companies. At the heart of her work is an invitation to reconnect ~ with ourselves, with one another, and with our innate wholeness.
