About Event

Please join us for the official launch of the Florida Space Research Consortium. This kickoff event at the Kennedy Space Center will feature a full day of networking and discussions with industry and academic partners.

Space companies are invited to participate in roundtable sessions and help shape the consortium from the start.

Plan to arrive at 8:45 and leave at 3:30, with networking and coffee at the start and end.

Here's an outline of the day:

08:45 a.m. - Park & Go Through Security

09:00 a.m. - Registration & Coffee

09:45 a.m. - Opening Remarks/Consortium Overview (Jim O'Connell)

09:50 a.m. - Vice Presidents of Research

10:00 a.m. - Sen. Bill Nelson

10:05 a.m. - KSC Resources Overview (Dr. Kathy Loftin)

10:20 a.m. - Space Florida (Mike Miller)

10:35 a.m. - Break

10:50 a.m. - Technical Overview/Capabilities (member universities speak for 10 minutes each) + Seraphim Space

12:00 p.m. - Lunch (sponsored by Space Florida)

01:00 p.m. - Fresh Air Break (explore museum and rocket garden)

01:30 p.m. - Afternoon Breakout Meetings

  • Track A: Industry Roundtable

  • Track B: Science Meeting

03:00 p.m. - Coffee/networking
