Hyperion's Morning 5K Run

​Join fellow ICNC attendees for a sociable, easy-paced 5km run through the historic airport surroundings before the main event gets started. Organised by Steve Robinson, Managing Partner at Hyperion Search.

​Route description

​The course runs over a disused airfield (Tempelhof Airport). It is a one-lap route that first follows one of the former runways and then goes clockwise in a crescent-shaped arc along the outer loop back to the start.

​Facilities

​There are public toilets at the entrance "Tempelhofer Damm" and Oderstraße (barrier-free) and water dispensers at the entrance "Tempelhofer Damm".

​How do I get there?

​Start

​The start and finish are located at the western end of the northern runway, about a 5 minutes walk from the side entrance "Paradestraße".

​How do I get there by public transport?

​Take the S-Bahn lines S41/S42/S47 and get off at the stop "S-Bhf Tempelhof". From there it is about 3 minutes to the main entrance "Tempelhofer Damm".

With the U6, get off at "U-Bhf Tempelhof" or "U-Bhf Paradestraße". From there you can reach the main entrance "Tempelhofer Damm" or the side entrance "Paradestraße" in about 3 or 5 minutes.

​How do I get there on foot?

​On Tempelhofer Damm, walk to the entrances "Tempelhofer Damm" (southern end of the field) or "Paradestraße" (at the level of the start and finish area). From the entrance "Paradestraße" it is about 5 minutes walk east to the start. From the entrance "Tempelhofer Damm" it is about 10 minutes walk to the start in a north-northeast direction. Alternatively, the main entrances "Columbiadamm" and "Oderstraße" are also an option. From there, the field must be crossed on foot along the outer ring road either counter-clockwise from the north (Columbiadamm) or clockwise from the east (Oderstraße). The respective walk is about 15-25 minutes.

​Driving

​Via the city motorway (A100), take the exit "Tempelhofer Damm". The entrances closest to the meeting point (main entrance "Tempelhofer Damm" or side entrance "Paradestraße") are located on Tempelhofer Damm.

Parking spaces are available along the roadway at both Tempelhofer Damm and Columbiadamm. Please note: You may need to pay for parking.

​A coffee after the run

​Hopefully we will have time for a quick coffee (on us!) after our run at Luftschloss Tempelhof (if the cafeteria is open) or one of the other nearby vendors. It's about 200 metres from our finish line.
