In This Session
In this hour-long session, we will be discussing how to find your first sentences when you debate.
Our November Skills Series
For the month of November, we are hosting "The Language of Debate", a four-week skills block that culminates on a debate on the motion:
“The House believes that Ancient Rome has a more pronounced impact on contemporary life than ancient Greece”
The final debate will be held on 23 November, 2026.
You can find all of the skills sessions we have scheduled for November, including a link to the final debate, on our events page.
Our “The Language of Debate” skills sessions are designed to help new and seasoned debaters build their skills. We will share actionable advice you can use to form arguments in both your debates with the Debate Society and outwith the society.
Whether you join us every week or have never joined a debate, these skills sessions are for you.
