The Integrated Intelligence Show with Thomas Despin | October 10th | 7am EST | 1pm CET | 7pm SGT

Our guest is Thomas Despin, founder of Reconnect, an eco-luxury resort in Indonesia’s Togean Islands, and founder of HotelBase, an AI platform for independent hotels. He runs the destination site sulawesi.com, shares his playbook with aspiring builders and expats as @theislandguy, and is a member of the Forbes Business Council.

His work is running hospitality far off the tourist trail instead of in the established hubs: a solar-powered resort on a remote island in Central Sulawesi, and software that helps small independent hotels answer guests and grow revenue.

Born in France, he studied psychology, then left a master's program to build companies. 14 months and more than 12,000 kilometres by bike to Bali, now an Indonesian citizen living on Buka Buka Island. He built Reconnect into a 20-room resort from 2019 and kept it running through COVID.

One hour, live. Thomas brings a real problem, unsolved, and nobody on the show has seen it. Five founders hear it for the first time on air and work it in the open until there’s a method to take away.

If you’re here to listen, you don’t have to speak and there’s nothing to prepare. Staying muted the entire time is completely ok.
