INFANT & CHILD FIRST AID

​There's one skill every parent needs and hopes to never use: first aid. Emergencies with babies and young children are rare — but the first few minutes matter.

​Partnering with Mother & Child and led by a certified first aid instructor, this isn't a generic first aid class — every technique, scenario, and exercise is tailored specifically to infants and children, from choking and CPR to fevers, burns, and falls.

​There’s no perfect time to take this course - whether during pregnancy, long after birth or as a refresher.

​In this 3 hour, hands-on session you will learn:

• ​Infant & Child CPR

• ​Choking Management

• ​Common Emergencies (feber, seizures, falls, burns, bleeds, allergies)

• ​Water Safety

• ​Poisoning & Ingestion

• ​Practical Home Safety

​FAQS

Do both parents need to attend?
You have a choice of attending by yourself or as a couple, depending on convenience and preference. This course is open to both dads and mums.

​When is the best time to take this course?
There is no perfect time. You can join whilst still expecting, in the early months or before starting solids, or when your child is already older. The course covers essentials covering both infant and child first aid.

​Is it suitable for other caregivers?
Other caregivers such as grandparents are welcome to join. For domestic helpers we will be launching a dedicated course for helpers.

​Can my children join the course?
Due to the length of the course, limited space and the hands-on nature of the course, we encourage parents to come without their children.

​All tickets are non-refundable. In the unlikely event of a cancellation or significant change to the event, ticketholders will be notified as soon as possible. Dad Life Club reserves the right to refuse entry.

Photos and videos may be taken during the event and shared on our social media channels purely for the purpose to help grow the Dad Life Club community. By signing up, you consent to you and the children in your care being photographed or filmed for this purpose. If you would prefer not to be included, please let the host know on arrival and we will respect your wishes.

In the unlikely event of a venue change, timing adjustment or cancellation, registered attendees will be notified as soon as possible. Dad Life Club reserves the right to make these changes where necessary.
